Summary: This perfect, little quaint hotel is almost a hidden gem. The town Arlesheim (Dornach) is a small town just outside Basel. Easy transit getting here. We were lucky to check in early and had a wonderful room overlooking the garden. The hotel manager and all the staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Summary: A wonderful hotel in a quiet, picturesque town. Excellently located for walks in the hills, just a couple minutes walk to the tram station and plenty of shops/cafés nearby. The room was clean and spacious with coffee machine and fridge. Staff were lovely and very helpful with organising guest pass and explaining how to access the hotel after hours. I would definitely stay here again should I return to Basel.

Summary: We stayed here on the recommendations of others in the various reviews on Expedia. We were not disappointed as it was a friendly, pleasant and convenient place to stay. The village is small but has a variety of shops and places to walk and is very close to the tram line. As older citizens, we were given a mobility pass which meant we had free transport of all kinds throughout the city for the length of our stay. Many other cities in Europe could mimic Basel in this regard. We ate meals at the hotel which were generous and wholesome food. A good breakfast as well. Helpful and friendly staff with excellent English were a real bonus.
